Higher education photography here I come

Good news came through this week, I handed my photography portfolio into the art department at tauntons college to get into the photography course without an art gcse. Thank god the bastards actually liked my work and have accepted me on the course :) I've been waiting a while to study photography inside a class room rather in my books and practice at home, get to focus on other photographers work and apply it to my own

I am a photographer from Southampton who has been actively involved in the art for roughly the last three years. Random is a pretty general term for my work at the moment. I have just finished my AS level at college so most of this year has been filled with trying out as many different styles and techniques as possible. My taste so far is more in black and white portrait photography largely because Jerry Uelsmann and Andre Kertesz's work really caught my attention. Although I enjoy taking pictures in most forms like macro, band photography sky's and landscapes, collage work.
